1. On 417 after you cross Lake Jesup just past the toll booth, there is a sign that says: Sanford, next two exits. There are really four: Ronald Reagan Boulevard, 17-92, 25th St. and Rinehart Road.

2. When heading west on I-4, just past Dirksen Road, there is a sign that says: Sanford, next three exits. There are really five. 17-92 SR 46 417/429 CR 46A Lake Mary Blvd

3. When heading east on I-4 there is a sign at the truck rest area that says: Sanford, next four exits. Again, there are really five.

4. When heading east on 429 there are big brown signs saying: Sanford Historic District 2 miles, then 1 mile, then 1/2 mile. That measurement means the district starts near where Glenn McCall's house was two miles west of I-4. Glenn, (R.I.P.) was historic, but not that historic. Instead of 2 miles to the Sanford Historic District, the real distance is 8.3 miles.

5. When heading west on 417, there are two Heathrow exit signs practically on the same overhead, the first one saying 3/4 mile, the next one saying 1 mile.

6. On I-4, between the CR 472 exit and the Saxon Boulevard exit, is a sign saying: Sanford 15 miles. The real distance to the downtown Sanford post office, using roundabout heaven, is just under 13 1/2 miles.
