Katherine M. Gordon

Katherine M. Gordon, 85, of Sanford, FL passed away on October 17, 2023. Katherine was born November 28, 1937 in Sanford, Florida to Jerdon D. Marshall Sr. and Mary Marshall. She spent all of childhood and part of her adulthood life as a resident in Chicago, Illinois but later returned to Sanford, FL.

A family which consisted of four children, Katherine was preceded in death by her sister Ruthie Mae Haynes, and brothers Oscar L. Williams and Jerdon D. Marshall Jr.

Katherine leaves to Cherish her memory: daughter, Sandra Lanier (Michael), Sanford, FL; grandson, Michael A. Lanier Jr., Seattle, WA; granddaughter, Kayla Lanier, Woodbridge, Va.; great-granddaughter, Kennedi Lanier, Sanford, FL; nieces, Machelle Haynes Daniels, Atlanta, Georgia, Diane Fossitt, DeBary, FL; nephews, Mike Levant (Cookie), and William “Ricky” Taylor both of Sanford, FL, Maurice Holloway (Tina), Auburn, AL, and Oscar J. Gibson, Rochester, NY.

Friends and family visitation will be Monday, Oct. 30, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Baptist, 1701 S. Bell Ave., Sanford, FL.

Immediately following at 11 a.m. there will be a graveside service at Restlawn Cemetery, West 25th Street, Sanford, FL.
