Ronald Eugene Green

Ronald Eugene Green, 70, Sanford, FL passed away on October 22, 2023 from Congestive Heart Failure. Ronnie was born on December 9, 1952 in Sanford, FL to John Carol and Virginia Marie Green.

Ronnie was raised in Sanford with 5 siblings. He attended Seminole High and soon after married the love of his life Mary Atchley Green. He enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1974. And, then they went on to have two daughters Tina Louise and Tammy Michelle. He was known around town as the “Tire Man” as he owned Sanford Tire and Ron’s Tire and Automotive and also worked at various other tire shops in town.

Survived by his daughter Tammy Michelle Strawn (Karl) and his 7 grandchildren, K Lynda Strawn. Mary, Ronnie, Alysa and Kaley Clark, Kimberly Johnson and Breanna Rupert. He is also survived by his younger sister Juanita Green Christy (Howard), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving parents John and Virginia Green, the mother of his children Mary Atchley Green, his oldest daughter Tina Louise Green Clark, his siblings Johnny, Danny, Donnie Green and Carol Green Scott.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, 11 a.m. at Central Church 3101 FL-46 in Sanford. The interment will be immediately following at the Oaklawn Cemetery. All friends and family are welcome to join us as we celebrate his life.
