Two crashes on S.R. 46 leave 1 dead, 8 injured

An SUV carrying eight people slammed head-on into a pickup truck near Mullet Lake, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. It was one of two accidents Monday morning where drivers on different parts of State Road 46 failed to safely pass other vehicles. The incidents caused one death and injured eight others.
