Goldsboro Elementary hosts national Civil Air Patrol ACE liftoff event

After the presentation of the awards, the guest speakers’ comments, and the lift-off of student-held helicopters (above) the students participated in a variety of STEM activities for the special ACE/STEM day.

Goldsboro Elementary STEM Teacher Mr. Robert Wakeland (above) was named the 2023 National CAP ACE Teacher of the Year.

Students and teachers from Goldsboro Elementary dressed for the important ceremony on Wednesday where the school was recognized as the 2023 National CAP ACE School of the Year.
