Leeroy Morris, 79, of Sanford, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Central Florida Regional Hospital, Sanford, Florida. He was born on October 8, 1940 in Macon, Georgia to the late James Morris, Sr.

The Community Redevelopment Agency unanimously granted the owner of the supermarket on Sanford Avenue an extra $17,000 more than he was hoping for to rehabilitate and modernize the store.

The trophy that the CRA gave to departing member Steve Chusmir symbolizes five people locking arms to represent unity.

The Community Redevelopment Agency awarded a trophy to member Steve Chusmir who leaves the Agency after serving for four years.

“I’ve done my fair share of civic duty,” Chusmir said after the Wednesday CRA meeting.
