Marie D. Urban

Marie D Urban, 64, Chuluota, Florida died after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's and dementia on September 14, 2023.

Marie D. Urban was born in New Jersey on June 6, 1959 to the late Charles and Elaine Pirozzi.

She graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida, in 1977. She went on to hold a variety of jobs, before becoming a nanny for many years.

On May 2, 1992 she married her best friend Craig Urban in Florida. They met on a blind date set up by friends and subsequently built their home in Chuluota, Florida. Marie's love of grapes and turtles is showcased in the decor of their home. Marie had fun training a large wild gopher turtle, she named Hibiscus, to take flowers right from her hand. She also took in a stray cat, named Callie, who still lives the good life, in their home. Maries interests also included doing stained glass and traveling. Marie, along with Craig, traveled to Alaska, Hoover Dam and several northeastern states and Canada, as well as multiple trips to Craig's home state of Wisconsin. Marie also took a solo trip to Jamaica before they met.

Marie is survived by her loving husband Craig, her Brother John (Gail), Two stepdaughters, Casey Urban, and Amber (Bobby) Miller, Father and Mother in law, Tom and Nancy Gouza, Sisters in law, Debra Okrzesik (Gerald)and Coreen Wendorf (Don) along with 5 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life is being held February 24, 2024.
