The Public Hearings will be held in the Commission Chambers at Lake Mary City Hall, 100 N. Country Club Road, Lake Mary. SANFORD AIRPORT AUTHORITY

NOTICE TO BIDDERS/INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

The Sanford Airport Authority, hereinafter called "Owner," hereby requests sealed bids for the “Federal Inspection Station Renovation” (Project), at the ORLANDO SANFORD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

 

The project can be generally described as:

 

Demolition and renovation of approximately 60,000sf of existing terminal space.  Work includes but is not limited to drywall, framing, electrical, low voltage, plumbing, concrete, steel framing, flooring, millwork, windows, and ceiling.  Work will be performed with individual phases and allowance for a move in period before moving into the next phase.  The facility will remain operational during construction and all CBP security requirements will be maintained for the duration of the project.

 

The time of completion for the Federal Inspection Station Renovation project is anticipated to be 450 calendar days to achieve Substantial Completion.

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Sanford Airport Authority, 1200 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773, up to 2:00 pm, local time, March 17, 2022, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened the contents noted and read aloud.

 

On and after February 7, 2022, Bid Documents will be available electronically and may be obtained by contacting Roberta Stanton, Procurement Agent, Phone: 407-585-4020; Email: procurement@osaa.net (hard copies are not available). Bidders must be registered through OpenGov/ProcureNow on the Sanford Airport Authority’s online procurement webpage @ https://www.flysfb.com/procurement to be eligible to submit a Bid for the project. A complete examination and understanding of the drawings and specifications contained in the Bid Documents is necessary in order for the Bidder to properly submit a Bid.  The Bid Documents also include a detailed set of Instructions to Bidders. All Bids shall be prepared in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The failure to comply with any requirement contained in the Bid Documents may result in the rejection of the Bid as non- responsive or a finding that the Bidder is not qualified for this Project.

 

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, Rental Car Facility Vigilante Room, 2001 Red Cleveland Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32773 on February 17, 2022 at 1:30 pm, local time.  Please park in the Parking Garage or the Hourly Parking Lot.  Parking for the Pre-Bid Conference will be validated in the meeting. Site Inspection will be conducted immediately following the Pre-Bid Conference. Site inspection attendance may require you to bring two forms of government issued identification to the meeting.  The Pre-Bid Conference is the primary opportunity that Bidders will have to address with the Owner questions about the Project, the Contract Documents, and the Owner’s security requirements.

 

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the sum of the Total Bid Price will be required for this Project. Exact Bid Guarantee period requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders.

 

The Sanford Airport Authority in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Sat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 200d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that if will affirmatively ensure that for any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises and airport concession disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
