Louthenia Williams Mitchell
Deaconess Louthenia Williams Mitchell 87 of Lake Monroe, Florida transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her residence in Bookertown. She was born August 28, 1936, to the late Henry & Mattie Williams. Louthenia graduated from Croom’s Academy in the 1940s. She was employed with the Seminole County Public School Transportation Department. She was a Deaconess at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church for many years before moving her membership to House of Refuge in Sanford. Louthenia loved her family, church, and the Bookertown Community. She was married to John Mitchell for over 50 years before his passing.
This union produced four children to mourn her passing. Two sons Virgil Mitchell, and Reginald Mitchell. Two daughters Audrey Mitchell, and Alison Mitchell. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and the extended Bookertown Community.
The viewing for Louthenia will be Friday, March 8, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wilson-Eichelberger Mortuary. The homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at House of Refuge 1001 Celery Avenue, Sanford, Florida 32771. With Pastor Dora Richardson, Officiating Pastor Terry Stoves, Eulogy Eulogizing Superintendent Arnold C. Ruffin, Solid Rock Sanctuary COGIC Conley, Georgia. Her committal service will take place in Restlawn Cemetery next to her late husband John Mitchell.
