Janice Deloris Braker

Janice Deloris Braker, 78, of Sanford, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born January 16, 1946, in Sanford, Florida, to the late Ivey McGriff and the late Lillie Mae Randall McGriff. Janice attended Seminole County Public Schools and graduated from Crooms Academy, Sanford, Florida. At an early age, she was a member and attended New Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Sanford, Florida. Janice worked at Lockheed-Martin, previously known as Martin Marietta, as an assembly line worker for numerous years. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing cards, and family gatherings. Janice was a lifelong resident of Sanford, Florida.

She is survived by her sons, Kelvin McGriff and Kenneth B. Braker; her grandsons, Jaden Braker and Liam Owens; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 5 PM - 7 PM at New Zion Primitive Baptist Church, 2390 Greenway Street, Sanford, Florida 32771.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11 AM, at New Zion Primitive Baptist Church, 2390 Greenway Street, Sanford, Florida, with Elder Robert L. Whitaker, III, eulogist, and Elder William Brown, Sr., officiating. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Evergreen Cemetery, 1975 West 25th Sanford, Florida 32771.
