Herbert Franklin “Frank” Bailey

Herbert Franklin “Frank” Bailey, 83, of Sanford, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 15th, 2024 at AdventHealth Hospital in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Frank was born on May 30th, 1940 in Sanford, Florida to William Alva Bailey and Jewel Bell Giles Bailey.

Frank spent a career in the insurance industry retiring from Life of Georgia (later ING) as an Auditor. Prior to Life of Georgia, Frank worked for several years at Gulf Life Insurance Company. Frank was also a member of the Florida National Guard for 6 years.

Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death, in 2015, by his wife of 54 years, Marty Bailey.

Left behind to mourn Frank’s passing are his son, Herb Bailey, and his grandson, Cameron Bailey, both of Sanford, Florida. Frank is also survived by his brother, Don Bailey, of Clover, South Carolina, and his sister, Judy Basehore, of York, South Carolina, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Frank was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as great friend to all who knew him.

Frank knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, thus giving his loved ones the reassurance of knowing that he has been reunited in Heaven with his parents and wife, all of whom he dearly loved.

A memorial service for Frank will be held at Riverwalk Church of God on Saturday, March 9th, 2024, at 5:00pm. The church is located at 801 W. 22nd Street in Sanford.

There will be a Repast immediately following the service at The Market Restaurant, located at 1300 S. French Avenue, also in Sanford.
