Fred Peck Jr.

Fred Peck Jr., 88, of Sanford, Florida Passed away December 16, 2023, at the Halifax Health Hospice with his family by his side. He was born February 19, 1935, in Albany, Georgia to the late Minister Fred Peck Sr. and Mary Williams Peck. He was a Christian and a member of Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Sanford, Florida. Fred enjoyed spending time with family and friends, spreading joy to all that knew him. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for the City of Sanford. Fred is preceded in death by one daughter Norma Jean Peck-Williams, one bother Leroy Peck, three sisters Azline Peck Brown, Dorthy Peck Nelms, and Rebecca Peck Knight. 

He is survived by his ex-wife Anna Dora Jones Peck. Children one son Fred "Freddie" Peck III, one daughter Mary Milton.

His siblings Minister Willie M. Peck Lowery, Minister Naomi Peck Moore, Margaret Peck, and Alice "Peggy" Hillery. Fred is also survived by four grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces, friends and extended family.

The visitation for Fred Peck Jr. will be Friday, December 22, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wilson-Eichelberger Mortuary. The service will be Saturday, December 23, 2023, 11:00 AM at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 710 Orange Avenue, Sanford, Florida 32771 with Pastor Michael Griffin eulogizing. The burial will take place at Restlawn Cemetery 1818 West 25 Street, Sanford, Florida 32771.
