Ada Cooper Dennis
Ada Cooper Dennis, known as “Lil’ Ada”, transitioned from here to eternity on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida. She was born to the late James and Ada Cooper on June 25, 1942, in Macon, Georgia. Ada and her family later moved to Sanford, Florida, where she would live the rest of her days.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Cooper, and a son, Eddie Lee Smith Jr., along with several brothers and sisters: Johnny White, Thomas White, Alonzo White, Bessie Mae (White) Lawson, Mamie (Cooper) Galloway, Willie Mae (Cooper) Galloway, and Florine (Cooper) O’Neal.
Ada leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Fannie Smith, Edna June (Elijah), Annette Baker (Charles), and Teresa Parker (Jerry); nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one living sister, Estella (Cooper) Williams.
She worshipped at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend Dr. Frank Williams.
Ada was a homemaker and loved being out and about, enjoying family and friends. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends will surely miss Lil’ Ada.
The visitation for Ada will be Friday, March 22, 2024, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Wilson-Eichelberger Mortuary. Services for Ada Cooper Dennis will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, 11 AM at Wilson-Eichelberger Mortuary Chapel, located at 1110 Pine Avenue in Sanford, Florida. Interment will be held at Shiloh Cemetery, Sanford, Florida.
