DOLORES M. BOKELBERG

Dolores M. Bokelberg, 80, of Orlando, passed away July 23, 2010 at Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs.

She was born January 20, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wis. She was a homemaker and a Lutheran. She has been residing in Orlando for more than nine years.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Debra L. Bokelberg; and sister, Beverly Stemmeler.

VIRGINIA FRENCH BROOKS

Virginia French Brooks, 86, of Lake Mary passed away July 22, 2010 at Island Lake Center in Longwood.

She was born in Boston, Mass. on February 7, 1924 to Henry W. French and Charlotte G. Nelson French. She moved to Sanford in 1968, and then to Lake Mary in 1988. She worked as a secretary at her husband's business, Southern Chemicals Inc, in Sanford. She was a devout member of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Sanford volunteering many hours for the thrift store there and working as a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of their Altar Guild, the Daughters of the King and a member of the Tampa Junior Women's Club. She loved helping people, and playing bridge. Her focus became her grandchildren during her later years.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Brooks; children, David T. (Cynthia) Brooks of Sanford, Dana D. (Kim) Brooks of Lake Mary, and Elizabeth B. (William) Heckerman also of Lake Mary; brother, Alan French of Mass. and sister Francine Pollard of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Adam, Victoria, Conner, and Bailey; and one great-grandchild, Braeden.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Sanford, with Rev. Rory Harris and Rev. Ann Kruger officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Sanford in her honor.

MARGARET MARY DAVIS

Margaret Mary Davis, 75, passed away July 21, 2010 at Central Florida Regional Hospital.

She was born in 1934 to Leon and Mary Ann Mikulewicz in White Plains, N.Y. She served her country honorably in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict where she met her late husband James Claude Davis. She was a phlebotomist and worked at the downtown Sanford Hospital. She later retired after 25 years of service at the Central Florida Community Health Center.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey James (Connie Fowler) Davis, Sanford, Mark Robert (Valeri) Davis, Sanford, Michael Wayne (Josephina) Davis, Grand Prairie, Texas, Glenn Joseph Davis, Longwood, Claude William Davis, Sanford, Matthew John (Jennifer) Davis; daughter, Mary Ann (James) Gonyea, Evans, Ga., Daytona Beach,10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the Gramkow Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to theSt. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 2151 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-2151.

JOHNATHAN ANDREW GORDON

Johnathan Andrew Gordon, 24, of Deltona, passed away July 21, at his home.

He was born in Sanford, May 3, 1986, the son of Philip Andrew Gordon and Peggy Kathleen Hope (Mahoney) Gordon.

He graduated from Pine Ridge High School in Deltona in 2004. He was a guitar player and loved his music. He loved going to the movies, playing video games with his friends and just hanging out. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing practical jokes on his friends and especially his mother. He was protective of and loved his family, loved his Irish heritage and loved animals.

He is predeceased by his aunt Tammy Austin.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Kathleen Mahoney Gordon of Deltona; his father, Philip Andrew Gordon of DeBary; his sisters, Samantha of DeBary and Taylor of Deltona; his paternal grandmother June Gordon Selwitschka of Sanford and his maternal grandmother Doris Phillips of Geneva; aunts and uncles; Michael Brice, Frankie Phillips; Kim Mahoney, Bonnie Glester, Judy Bellamy, Terry Gordon, Thomas Gordon and Alex Gordon; and numerous cousins, family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Brisson Funeral Home in Sanford, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, with Rev. Peter Keirstead will be officiating. Friends and family are invited to

BEVERLY BROOKE GREENWALD

Beverly Brooke Greenwald, 71, of Deltona, passed away July 26, 2010 at her residence.

She was born in Sanford March 5, 1939, the daughter of the late Vincent and Eva Ellen (Sutton) Brooke. She moved to Deltona 7 years ago from the Sanford/ Osteen area. She co-owned a Lawn Care Service for many years with her husband George, and was a member of the Ladies Young at Heart Bowling League. She loved to bowl, loved playing Bunco and collected ceramic birds.

She is pre-deceased by her husband George Greenwald.

She is survived by her children: Regina (David) Duckworth of St. Augustine, Dana (Edwin) Dorman of Keystone Heights, and Philip (Linda) Greenwald of Port Orange, Richard Greenwald of Old Town and Gail (Ed) Bowers of Deltona; a sister Arlene Coalter of Daytona; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. with a memorial service to follow, at Brisson Funeral Home in Sanford with Rev. Benny Tart officiating.

PAULA JANE HELMONDOLLAR

Paula Jane Helmondollar, 42, passed away on July 8, 2010 at Health Central in Ocoee.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Wells; sons, Derick, Charles, Robert Helmondollar and Timothy Wells; parents, Carrol and Leo Helmondollar; brothers, Richard and Curtis Helmondollar; and a sister-in-law Kelly Wells.

A burial will take place in the near future at the Sylvan Lake Cemetery in Payola.

JAMES CLAYTON JOHNSON

James Clayton Johnson, 68, of Sanford, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was born March 21, 1942 in Daytona Beach. He attended Volusia County Public SchoolS and he was a graduate of Campbell High School Class of 1961, Daytona Beach. He furthered his education and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton. He was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Sanford, and he retired from the United States Navy after 22 years of service to our country. While in the United States Navy he received numerous training certifications.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Leah W. Johnson; daughter, Theresa Lundy (Theodore); sisters, Clara Mae Blue (Elzie), Johnnie Mae Lee, and Evelyn Guichard; brothers, Henry Johnson (Juanita), David Johnson, and Dr. Moses R. Johnson (Rita); and three grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Sanford, with Reverend William Lewis, officiating. Visitation on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, Sanford.

JAMES D. MATHEWS

James D. Mathews, 81, of Sanford, passed away July 23, 2010.

He was born December 16, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wis. and worked as a road superintendent.

He is survived by his daughters, Maureen (Jeffery) Steinbeach and Mary (Doug) Mackey, both of Sanford; sons, James J. (Karen) Mathews of Sanford and Kevin William of Tallahassee; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held today from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Oaklawn Chapel of Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home. Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. at Oaklawn Park Cemetery in Lake Mary.

Ella Mae McRay, 76, of Fern Park, passed away July 20, 2010 at her residence.

She was born March 10, 1934 in Easley, S.C. She was a retired production worker for Water Bonnet Boat Manufacturing Company. She has been a resident of Fern Park for over 30 years.

She is survived by her loving children, daughters, Patricia A. Williams, Carolyn Johnson, Jacqueline Bolden, and Nadine Pringle (Henry); son, James L. McRay; sisters, Eula Mae Griffin, Mona Carter, Montez L. Smith (Mark), Alice E. Brown, Joyce Dukes, and Deborah Lomax; brothers, Nathaniel Lomax, Billy Lomax (Virginia), Bobby Lomax (Barbara), David Lomax, and Johnny Lomax; aunt, Ruth Edwards; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
