JACKARVIS D. BOONE

Jackarvis D. “Jacky Boy” Boone, 23, of Oviedo, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006 at Vitas Hospice Inpatient Unit, Winter Park.

He was born Feb. 2, 1983 in Sanford. He was a member of Abundant Life Praise Fellowship in Oviedo.

Survivors include mother, Debbie Boone of Oviedo; dad, Richard Brockett of Eatonville; Father Larry Grayson of Sanford; grandmother Willie Mae Boone of Oviedo; father, Robert Boone of Oviedo. Sisters Alexis Grayson, Courtney Boone, Tamara Boone, Bianca Boone, Amber Boone, Chloe Brockett, Miquenya Brockett, Sharell Grayson, Destiny Brockett, all of Oviedo; brothers Maikel Brockett, Malik Brockett, Cortez Grayson, Tavon Grayson, Larry Grayson, and Rikki Brockett, all of Oviedo.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Praise Fellowship, 20 Academy Drive, Oviedo, with Rev. Lewis Daniels officiating.

RICHARD CRISWELL

Richard Criswell, 55, of Casselberry, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006.

Lt. Richard “Dick” Criswell was retired from the Seminole County Fire Department. He was a founding member of the Seminole County Fire Department and served in that department from Oct. 1, 1974 until Sept. 30, 2005. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

The Seminole County Fire Department will honor him with a “line of duty death” funeral, Saturday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 351 Ascension Drive, Casselberry. Graveside services will be at All Faiths Memorial Park, 1390 Park Drive in Casselberry.

Survivors include wife, Betsy Criswell of Casselberry; sons, Mathew R. Criswell of Casselberry, Patrick B. Criswell of Orlando; brothers Ronald Criswell of Debary and Thomas G. Criswell, Jr. of Tallahassee.

A memorial fund has been established for the family of Lt. Criswell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dick Criswell Memorial Fund, c/o Seminole County Professional Firefighters Local 3254, 4005 N. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL, 32804.

Brenda Lorain Davis, 43, of Sanford, died Saturday, July 29, 2006.

She was born July 7, 1963 in Little Rock, Ark. She attended Christian Deliverance Outreach Ministry and recently joined House of Christ in Sanford.

Survivors include children Tasha S. Davis, Tarell Johnson, Jr., Trammel Johnson, Trannetta Johnson; four grandchildren; sisters Joyce Ann Davis and Debbie Webb; brothers Leonard Paul Davis, Jr., Horace Knight, Shedrick Knight; stepfather Horace Knight, Sr.; stepmother Olive Ann Knight.

A homegoing service for Sister Brenda Lorain Davis, will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, at 3 p.m. at New Life Word Center, 1311 Oak Avenue in Sanford.

Charlotte J. Henson, 79, of Altamonte Springs, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006 in Maitland.

She was born April 7, 1927 in Sioux Falls, S.D. She was an artist.

Survivors include sister, Marilyn J. Bibb.

HOUSTON JARRELL

Houston Jarrell, 75, of Sanford, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006 in Winter Park.

He was born Jan. 12, 1931 in Ponchatoula, La. He was retired after 20 years with service in the U.S. Air Force. He was Protestant.

Survivors include wife, Alice Jarrell of Sanford; sons, David Jarrell of Sanford, Lauri DeRiu of Waterbury, Conn., and Lisa Jarrell of Simsbury, Conn.

Graveside services with full military honors were held Friday, Aug. 11, at Oaklawn Park Cemetery with Rev. Paul Hoyer officiating.

RICHARD W. LOBB

Richard W. Lobb, Esq., 69, of Heathrow, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006 in Lake Mary.

He was born March 24, 1937 in Miami. He was a veteran (Capt.) of the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he was employed with Claims Dept. of Hartford Insurance Group, and later as Litigation Supervisor for Orlando Claims Offices.

He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1976 and entered private practice with Maher & Overchuck, P.A. in Orlando. He established the firm of Cramer & Lobb in Orlando and Daytona Beach. He retired in 2002 from the firm of E. Clay Parker, P.A.

Survivors include wife, Betty Lobb; children Lynn Hunt of Orlando, Wendy Jacobs and Kristyn Shaffer, both of Oviedo, Dean Anderson of Altamonte Springs, and Cindy Kulp of Apopka; brother, Steven Lobb; seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday Aug. 19, at 1 p.m. at the Markham Woods Presbyterian Church with Pastor Joe Wendorph officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Alzheimer Resource Center, 1400 N. Semoran blvd., Orlando, 32807.

Jason Keith McCarthy, 35, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 in Longwood.

He was born Nov. 3, 1970 in Nyack, N.Y. He was a marble setter in the construction industry.

Survivors include mother Laureen Nicosia of Winter Springs; maternal grandmother Terry Nicosia of Winter Springs; paternal grandfather Richard McCarthy of Costa Rica and Marilyn Vanlke of Pennsylvania; children Gabrielle and Dylan McCarthy, both of Winter Springs; brothers Justin and Emon McCarthy, both of Pennsylvania; sisters Marina McCarthy of Pennsylvania, and Kassandra Tasch of Winter Springs, Anjelique Hartung of Winter Springs and Chelsea Cafarella of Deltona.

Funeral services were held Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Luis Barrera as celebrant.

JUANITA R. MILLER

Juanita R. Miller, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006 at her residence.

She was a longtime resident of Seminole County, having moved from Virginia in the 1920’s. She and her husband were the proprietors of Miller’s TV and Appliance for many years. She was a member of DAR, and First Presbyterian Church in Sanford.

Survivors include children Mildred Harden, Robert C. Miller, Jr., Charmion Addington; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Thomas Ratliff; sister, Evelyn Politz.

There was a private graveside service Monday, Aug. 7, at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Scott and son Robert Miller officiating.

ALMA G. RICHARDSON

Alma G. Richardson, 90, of Geneva, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006 at her residence.

Born in Homerville, Ga., she moved to Central Florida in the 1920’s. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Geneva, and a member of the Geneva Evergreens.

Survivors include son, Robert Richardson of Hendersonville, N.C.; brothers I.J. Griffis of Lake Park and A.J. “General” Griffis of Sanford; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Geneva, with family receiving friends from 9:30 until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Sylvan Lake Cemetery.

DORIS MAY STUFFLET

Doris May Stufflet, 82, of Lake Mary, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006 in Sanford.

She was born May 5, 192 in Royersford, Penn. She was an insurance broker, a former Girl Scout leader and a member of Valley Forge DAR. She was a pianist and Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include husband, Elmer L. Sufflet; daughter, Sherry S. Yerger; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren.

Loretta Martha Toreno, 76, of Sanford, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006 at her residence.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a homemaker and a member of All Souls Catholic Church.

Survivors include daughter Loretta Bailey; brother Edward Tunison; one grandchild.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 10 at All Souls Catholic Church with Father John Trout officiating. Burial was in All Souls Catholic Cemetery.
