Robert Lee Battle, 82, of Apopka, passed away August 5, 2012 at the Florida Hospital Orlando.

He was born in Phenix City, Ala. and came to the area from Russell County, Ala. He worked in lawn maintenance and was a member of the Community Holy Temple in Apopka.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Diane Battle, of Apopka; son, Curtis Fears of Auburn, Ala.; daughter, Ella Bellamy of Salem, Ala.; mother-in-law, Ella Mae Brooks of Sanford; step-mother, Mattie Brooks, of Cocoa; aunt, Pearlie McGill of Sanford; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wilson-Eichelberger Mortuary in Sanford. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. in Community Holy Temple, 1200 S. Central Ave., Apopka with Elder Henry Bolden, Pastor, and Bishop Earlene Wagner, Assistant Pastor.

Wilson-Eichelberger Mortuary, Sanford, is in charge of all arrangements.
