Celebrating the Celery City Lodge’s 100th anniversary, the event will get underway at 10 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.
The Evergreen Temple is a subsidiary group of the Celery City Lodge, with both groups falling under the same organizational umbrella.
The picnic is the Elks lodge’s way of giving back to the community in thanks for all the years the community has supported the lodge.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend the picnic. Members of the Sanford Community Policing Section, including Commissioner Art Woodruff, Chief Brian Tooley, Lt. Michael Horan, and Ofc. Cynthia Littles, will also attend.
There will be free food and games, along with a handout of free school supplies like crayons and pencils.
The Elks Lodge is located at 619 Cypress Ave., at the corner of Cypress Ave. and 7th Street. For more information call Phyllis Frage at 407-322-8208.
