He was born in Macon, Ga. and worked for the Seminole County Public Schools as a teacher. He was employed at Seminole High School as a business education instructor until his retirement in 2011. He was also a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his sister, Addie Elder of Sanford; nephews, Darryl Elder of Sanford and Dr. Lou Harold of Orlando; and nieces, Barbara Parker and Antionette Owen, both of Detroit, Mich.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wilson-Eichelberger Mortuary in Sanford. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Sedrick Harris, Pastor, officiating.
