Emma T. Williams, 76, of Altamonte Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at her home. She was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Orangeburg, S.C., to Booker T. and Ethel (Green) Gramlin. She was an excellent domestic engineer raising her six lovely daughters and was very family oriented, enjoying every moment with them. Emma was selfless, and meek with a mild, gentle spirit and was generous at giving to others. She also enjoyed shopping, and remained very active to stay in shape. She was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness.
She will be missed by her daughters, Conchita (Angelo) Montes of Altamonte Springs, Cassandra (Sam) Wheeler of Santa Clara, Calif., Sheila Williams of Lakeland, Dwynia (Chris) Marshburn of Apopka, Neketia (Lerril) Wright of Altamonte Springs, and Chavela (Donavan) Tucker of Sanford; and grandchildren, Adrian, Marcelino, Christopher II, Dwayne, Nico, Desiree, Lenix, Tempestt and Raeyven.
ALLIE McREE
Allie Mae Taylor McRee, 88, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, in DeLand. She was born June 9, 1923, in Martinsville, Va. She worked for Stromberg Carlson for 15 years and belonged to the Women’s Moose Lodge for 30 years. She also served in the Air Force.
She is survived by her daughter Janet (Charles) Miller of Sanford; and two granddaughters.
Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22. The funeral service is at the Oaklawn Chapel of Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford. Pastor Tom Harris will officiate. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Park Cemetery in Lake Mary.
RODGER ADRIAN
Rodger J. Adrian, 90, of Lake Mary, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011. He was born June 22, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late George and Emeline Adrian. He served his country with the U.S. Navy. He was predeceased by a son, Mark J. Adrian Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife Gertrude E.; sons, Scott A. (Sharon) Adrian, and Todd F. Adrian; grandchildren, Rachel Adrian, Jason Adrian, Nicole (Jeff) Dye, Mark J. Adrian Jr. and Michael Adrian; daughter-in-law Marla S. Adrian; and sister-in-law Ruth Monti.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Nativity Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association 800-272-3900, or P.O.
