A 33-year-old Oviedo woman who attempted to conceal two stolen bras by wearing them out of Sears, 320 Towne Center Circle, was charged Saturday with shoplifting. A store employee said he saw the woman take two bras into the changing room but she did not carry them out. Pollyanna Leslie Osorio of Lexington Court was taken to the county jail.
Aggravated assault
An argument between two women over a parking space at the Seminole Towne Center ended with a 59-year-old woman being charged Saturday with aggravated assault. One driver pulled into the space first, and the other driver then blocked in the first vehicle, got out and threatened the driver, according to the arrest report. The victim said the other woman threatened her with a black baton. Police found a small bat in the woman’s car. Marie Seward was charged with false imprisonment and aggravated assault.
Battery on officer
A 31-year-old Sanford man who was charged Friday with shoplifting at Target, 1201 WP Ball Blvd., told police, “February is a tough month for me. I just needed some money so I could enjoy my birthday and anniversary,” according to the arrest report. An officer who responded to the store said he tried to stop the suspect who was running out. The suspect fought with the officer before the suspect was handcuffed. A store employee said 22 packages of fragrances worth about $770 were taken. Orlando Lopez of Logan Heights Circle was charged with battery on an officer, shoplifting and resisting recovery of property.
