Friday’s baseball game between the Seminole County Naturals and the Space Coast Surge also will be a fundraiser for the Historic Sanford Welcome Center.

In addition to the baseball game, there will be raffles and auction items such as a football signed by Bobby Bowden, coach of the FSU Seminoles, and a Gators photo signed by Urban Meyer, coach of the University of Florida. Other sports memorabilia and jewelry also will be auctioned.

The Naturals are part of the new Florida Winter Baseball League, which just started its inaugural season. The game will be a 7 p.m. at the Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium. Tickets range from $5 to $8.

Proceeds benefit the welcome center, which sponsors the monthly Alive After 5 downtown street party and the Fourth Fridays art event.
