• Join The Sanford Wine Company for the third annual "Crush" Wine Tasting event Saturday. Featuring more than 65 wines to sample. Tickets are $20 per person or $35 couple.
• Mark your calendars for Oct. 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. to join Celery Queen Candidate Jami Thomas for "Night at the Museum.” An evening of fun that will include a silent auction, raffle, free keyboard classes courtesy of The Steinway Society and live re-enactments of historical figures. The event is an open house and joint fundraiser for the J.D. Thomas Cultural Arts Center and Jami's Celery Ball Queen Candidacy that will benefit the Celery Soup community performance. • A rummage sale and silent auction to benefit the Student Museum Restoration is being held on Dec. 5. The museum is in need of donations. China, decor items, household items, yard items, all are welcomed. Unfortunately, clothing, computers, large items of furniture, and large appliances can not be accepted. Items in good working condition can be brought to the Student Museum on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at 301 W. 7th St. For further information, call the Student Museum at 407-936-1679 or Judy Wiant, Student Museum co-coordinator, 407-256-4976. Donations will be accepted until Nov. 20.
