Mary Ann Germain, a teacher in the Seminole Public School District for 37 years, recently retired.
She began her years of service at Forest City Elementary in April 1973. In August 1973 she made the move to Pine Crest Elementary where she remained until her retirement.
Friends and co-workers said she changed the lives of many second graders for nine years and first graders for 28 years.
She was honored by her peers at Pine Crest with the ‘Teacher of the Year’ award in 1981.
