PAULINE ETHEL ADAMS

Pauline Ethel Adams, 80, who was also called “Polly Perfect,” died Jan. 24, 2008.

She was born June 25, 1927, in Cohasset, Mass., to Louis and Gladys Salvador. She worked as a waitress at Ranch House Restaurant, then at Touchstons Drug Store, and later the Colonial Room, where she retired in January of 1987. Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Robert Allen Adams in 1972, and her son George Adams in 1977.

She is survived by her children, Bobby (Kathy) Adams, Ed Adams, Paula (Bill) Gleason, and Barbara (Tim) Foley, as well as 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 28 at Collison Family Funeral Home.

NANCY K. BEHM

Nancy K. Behm, 80, of DeBary, died Jan. 23, 2008.

She was burn in Escanaba, Mich., to James and Gertrude Boucher. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley E. Behm, in September of 1977.

She is survived by her children, Drew (Linda) Behm, Bob Behm, Keith Behm, Cheryl Sosnoski, and Nancy Williams. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at Collison Family Funeral Home, with interment following at Riverview Memorial Park in Ft. Pierce, Fla.

MARCELLA E. BENHAM

Marcella E. Benham, 80, of Sanford, died Jan. 24, 2008.

She was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Floyds Knob, Ind. She worked in the United States Air Force during the Korean War where she worked as a jet engine mechanic. She also worked in a school cafeteria.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Wirth, of Deland, and Anna “Cookie” Benham of Deland; son, Charles Benham, Jr., of Sanford; sisters, Margaret Hall of Miami, Dolly Bissen of Ft. Pierce, and Anna Rowls of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at the Oaklawn Chapel of Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, with interment following at Oaklawn Park Cemetery in Lake Mary.

ERMA SCHROY BUTLER

Erma Schroy Butler, 83, of Sanford, died Jan. 17, 2008, at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Abington, Ind., to Clayton and Nellie (Schepler) Schroy. She moved to Sanford in 1969 and worked with Central Florida Regional Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She went back to school and retired from the hospital as a Licensed Practicing Nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lloyd Butler, who died in 2006.

She is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Willie) Southerland, Karen Hudson, Cheryl (Harvey) Francisco, and Mary Jo Butler, all of Sanford; son, David (Karen) Butler of Bonaire, Ga.; sister, Elsie Duke of Indiana; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 19, 2008, in the Gramkow Chapel of Collison Family Funeral Homes, with interment following at Evergreen Cemetery in Sanford.

RUBY A. DAVIS

Ruby A. Davis, 79, of Apopka, died Jan. 28, 2008, in Altamonte Springs.

She was born April 4, 1928, in Shoehill, N.C., to Henry H. Holland and Bessie Wilford. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Walters; sons, Frank Davis, William Davis, and Tommy Davis; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Jan. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Banfield Funeral Home in Winter Springs. Funeral services will be Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at Banfield Funeral Home, with interment following at Winter Garden Cemetery.

CHET GIORDANO

Chet Giordano, 76, of Oviedo, died Jan. 26, 2008.

He was born March 10, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Frank and Catherine Giordano. He was an architectural engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Giordano; daughters, Kathy Gaston and Jeanne Giordano; son-in-law Tom Gaston; and brother-in-law Gene Badolato.

Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at St. Stephen Catholic Church with interment at All Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry.

SUSAN “SUE” HOLWECK

Susan “Sue” Holweck, 54, of Winter Springs, died Jan. 21, 2008, at Winter Park Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 22, 1953, in Rosedale, N.Y., to Joseph and Marion (Bubenik) Holt. She was a merchandise manager for the Winn-Dixie Company and moved to Winter Springs in 1995.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ralph; sons, Jason (Jennifer) Holweck of Jacobus, Pa., and Brian Holweck of Winter Springs; daughter, Renee Holweck of Winter Springs; sisters, Joann Cohen of Tarrytown, N.Y., Mary Holt of Samford, Conn., and Janet Wyland of Stratford, N.J.; and grandson Justin Holweck.

Funeral services were held Jan. 25 at the Howell Branch Chapel of Collison Family Funeral Homes. Interment followed at Fredrick Loescher Memorial Cemetery in Spring Valley, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Keith A. Schaeffer Memorial Fund at the Foundation for Enhancing Communities, P.O. Box 678, Harrisburg, P.A., 17108-0678.

HERBERT A. KNIEPER SR.

Herbert A. Knieper, Sr., 89, of Winter Springs, died Jan. 23, 2008.

He was born Dec. 13, 1918, in Lewiston, Maine. He worked as a contractor in the housing industry.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris A. Kneiper; sons, Herbert A. Knieper, Arthur W. Knieper, and Richard M. Knieper; daughters, Heather Harrington and Debbie K. Hurst; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

No funeral services have been arranged at this time.

NANCY V. LEE

Nancy V. Lee, 71, died Jan. 24, 2008, in Winter Park with her family by her side.

She enjoyed shopping, reading, traveling and spending time with her family. She was brave and courageous during her battle with breast cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bill Lee of Winter Park; sons, Larry Lee of Deltona and Randy (Jennifer) Lee of Winter Springs; daughter, Kim (Sunny) Wolfe of Winter Park; sister, Carolyn (Larry) Cole of Magnolia Springs, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Brandy Wolfe and Laura Lee.

Funeral services will take place in Alabama. A viewing in Florida was held Jan. 27.

IVA E. PLOWMAN

Iva E. Plowman, 88, of Orlando, died Jan. 27, 2008, in Winter Park.

She was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Knoxville, Tenn., to Walker Atchley and Flora Fowler.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy A. Roberts and Iva Jean Patton; sons, Roney Wolff and Tyrone Wolff; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 27 with interment at Hendersonville Memory Gardens in Hendersonville, Tenn.

JOYCE DEBOSE TILLMAN

Joyce Debose Tillman, 58, of Detroit, died Jan. 24, 2008.

She was born in Sanford. During her life, she worked as a counselor for the Neighbor-hood Service Organization. She was a member of the Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit.

She is survived by her daughters, Kyshaun Tillman Powell and Karen Tillman Barber, both of Detroit; brothers Cleveland Debose, Jr., and Leon Debose, both of Detroit, and Elcannon Debose, Henry Preston Debose, and Morrell Debose, all of Sanford; sisters Emmelean Gee of Detroit, Lillie Pearl Vance of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ollie Mae Humphrey, Frances Nadine Williams, Geraldine Lewis, and Martha Ann McKinney, all of Sanford; and three grandchildren.
