DOROTHY R. DEANS

Dorothy R. Deans, 89, of Sanford died on April 9, 2008.

Born in Jacksonville, she moved to Sanford 43 years ago from Jacksonville.

She was a retired banking clerk.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas A. Deans of Tallahassee, Gordon L. and Shelly Deans of Sanford, and Jonathan J. and Angela Deans of Branford; one daughter, Dorothy and Clay Hartsoe of Sanford; six grandchildren.

Funeral services are set for Monday, April 14, at the Covenant Community Church, 5311 Pen Ave., Sanford, at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Dixon, officiating.

Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand is in charge of arrangements.

WILLIAM BERNARD JOHNSON

William Bernard Johnson, 88, of Arnold, Mo., died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Winter Park.

He was born in Greenville, Tenn., on Dece. 2, 1919. He was a retired laborer and U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Burle; and brother, John David Johnson Jr.

MARCELO RODRIGUEZ

Marcelo Rodriguez, 40, of Lakeview Avenue, Sanford, died Sunday, April 6, 2008, at his residence.

Rodriguez was born in Albion, Mich., on April 17, 1967, the son of Macario and Olivia (Alaniz) Rodriguez. He moved to Sanford in 1969 from Michigan. He worked in construction and enjoyed car racing and fishing.

He is survived by his parents, Macario and Olivia Rodriguez of Sanford; three daughters, Alicia Marie Rodriguez of Maine, Kayla Rodriguez of Deltona and Tessie Rodriguez of Lake Mary; two sons, Nicholas Rodriguez of Maine and Marcelo Rodriguez Jr. of Deltona; six sisters, Hortensia Rodriguez of Sanford, Angelita (Pascual) Martinez of Apopka, Josefina (Alfredo) Garcia of Texas, Lorenza (Oscar) Reyes of Sanford, Estella Rodriguez of Texas and Hermelinda Rodriguez of Apopka; three brothers, Jose Rodriguez of Sanford, Sammy (Claudia) Rodriguez of Sanford and Macario (Maria) Rodriguez Jr. of Sanford.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at All Souls Catholic Church (Historical Chapel) in Sanford on Friday. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.

ELIZABETH COMMESSO TOCCO

Elizabeth Commesso Tocco, 95, of Winter Springs died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Winter Springs.

She was born in Geneva, N.Y., on May 9, 1912. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her nephew, Dominick Commesso; and two sisters, Geraldine (Thomas) Carone and Eunice (Fred) Snowney.

A service was planned with the Rev. John J. Bluett at St. Stephen Catholic Church, but times were not available.
