The walk will kick off at 8 a.m. at the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens. This year more than 350 people are expected to join in the fight against AIDS.
“Now more than ever we need your support to raise awareness and funds to provide Hope and Help to our neighbors in Seminole County suffering from HIV and AIDS,” said Sabrina Deshner, Sanford Stroll coordinator.
While some think this is still a gay disease, just more than 51 percent of those infected locally are heterosexual.
Walkers collecting donations will turn in their money on the day of the walk to win prizes. The walker that raises the most money will receive a $300 gift certificate to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.
Tiffany Tift from WKMG-Channel 6 will be the celebrity emcee for the walk and there will also be live music, free breakfast, chair massages and other surprises.
