Sanford-Lakeside Lions Club has scheduled the Annual Lions Spaghetti Dinner and Family Bingo to be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Sanford Civic Center on North Sanford Avenue.

Sanford Lions Spaghetti Dinner has been a tradition for more than 50 years in Sanford and is the club’s largest fundraiser. Dinner is served from 4 p.m. and includes all the home cooked spaghetti you care to eat, salad, bread and coffee or iced tea. The price is $6 per person, for tickets ask a Sanford Lion. Deserts and sodas will also be on sale.

Family Bingo starts about 5 p.m. and is the only bingo that children can play.

Prizes donated from local merchants. There are also raffles and a rummage sale.

Lions International was organized in 1917 as a civic organization to do public service and more especially sight projects. Lions have been serving Sanford since 1925. Sanford-Lakeside Lions Club serves our community with The Annual Blind Fishing Tournament, supplies for Sanford's Elementary Schools, Pre "K" Classes Christmas Parties for Sanford Schools, Eyeglasses for Seminole County School Children, food baskets, the Eugene Gregory Award recognizing the community service of a Seminole County Sheriff's Deputy and by collecting eyeglasses for Right to Sight Projects in Florida and Sight First projects internationally.
