NCAA Division II and CSTV: College Sports Television announced Tuesday that the Rollins College home men's basketball game against Eckerd College on Saturday, January 20 will be part of their 2006-07 national television schedule. The game will be moved from its original 4 p.m. start time to noon to accommodate television. Rollins women versus Eckerd will remain at a 2 p.m. tip-off.

Division II and CSTV are in the first season of a multi-year television and broadband partnership that will showcase more than 80 live Division II regular season football and basketball games. The first games to be featured were broadcast during the 2006 football season. Rollins and Eckerd will be the first of six basketball games slated for broadcast.

The games will air live on CSTV, a national cable network from CBS dedicated to the coverage of college sports, and can be found at www.NCAAsports.com/DII. In addition to broadcasts on CSTV, efforts are also underway to syndicate the broadcasts in local markets of teams competing. CSTV reaches more than 52 million homes nationwide and is available on Adelphia, Charter, Comcast, Cox, DirectTV, Dish Networks and Time Warner Cable.

The No. 5 Rollins men's basketball entered the season as the defending Sunshine State Conference champions and was picked to win the 2006-07 title. They are currently 4-2 after losses to Division I UCF in the season opener and a tough road loss to Tampa last weekend. Eckerd was picked to finish third in the SSC preseason poll and is currently the only undefeated team in the SSC at 6-0.
