City, Sheriff to host YouthBuild

SANFORD — The city of Sanford and the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office will host the first Sanford/Seminole County YouthBuild Open House on Jan. 30 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Sanford Civic Center, 401 E. Seminole Blvd, Sanford.

In YouthBuild programs, unemployed and undereducated young people ages 16 to 24 work toward their GED or high school diploma while learning construction skills by building affordable housing for homeless and low-income people in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
