The local squad will be headed to Eagle Pass, Texas for the 2007 Babe Ruth Softball 16 & Under World Series.
After winning the State Championship, the Patriots traveled to Henderson County, North Carolina and went undefeated in sweeping to the Babe Ruth Softball 16 & Under Southeast Regional Championship.
The Patriots will join nine other teams for the World Series that will begin with Pool Play this Saturday, August 4.
The Patriots will be part of the American Division along with Regional Champions from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, the Plantation Athletic Club from Louisiana, Port Angeles, Washington and Texas State Champion, Del Rio.
The National Division will include the host team from Eagle Pass, Texas, plus Regional Champions from Gorham, Maine, Toms River, New Jersey, Southern Plains, Colorado and Lodi, California.
The tournament begins with Opening Ceremonies at 9 a.m. this Saturday and then the Patriots will play the opening game of the World Series against the Plantation Athletic Club from Louisiana starting at 9:30 a.m.
Other games on Saturday have Lodi, California taking on Southern Plains, Colorado at 11:30 a.m.; Wisconsin Rapids facing Port Angeles. Washington at 5 p.m.; Del Rio, Texas challenging the Plantation Athletic Club at 7 p.m.; and Toms River tackling Eagle Pass at 9 p.m.
On Sunday, Altamonte Springs will not play until 5 p.m. when the Patriots battle Del Rio.
Other games have Gorham, Maine playing twice, at 9:30 a.m. against Lodi and at 7 p.m. against Toms River; at 11:30 a.m., Plantation Athletic Club plays Wisconsin Rapids and at 9 p.m. Eagle Pass will take on Southern Plains.
On Monday, Aug. 6, Toms River plays Lodi at 9:30 a.m.; followed by the Patriots against Wisconsin Rapids at 11:30 a.m.
The evening session has Port Angeles playing Del Rio at 5 p.m.; Toms River returning to face Southern Plains at 7 p.m.; and Eagle Pass playing Gorham at 9 p.m.
Pool play wraps up on Tuesday with the Patriots playing the 9:30 a.m. contest against Port Angeles.
Other games will have Gorham against Southern Plains at 11:30 a.m.; Del Rio against Wisconsin Rapids at 5 p.m.; Plantation Athletic Club against Port Angeles at 7 p.m.; and Eagle Pass against Lodi at 9 p.m.
There will also be a pair of Pool games in the morning on Wednesday and then the top three teams from each Pool will advance to Double Elimination Bracket Play Wednesday (Aug. 8) at 7 p.m.
Bracket play will continue through at least Saturday (Aug. 11) at 9 p.m. and the if necessary game, if both remaining teams have one loss, will not be played until Tuesday, Aug. 14.

Altamonte Springs League President David Phillips will be traveling with the Patriots along with head coach Mike Poole from Longwood and assistant coach Danny Sacco from Altamonte Springs.
The team is made up of players several cities and high school teams.
From Lake Brantley High School are Kimberly Brower, Ashley Cline, Lauren Miller, Ashley Sacco and Dominique Smith from Altamonte Springs; Kristen Millar and Amelia Phillips from Longwood; and Jenny Schutte from Apopka.
From Lyman High School are Katie Eichelberger and Olivia Fleming from Altamonte Springs; and Yesenia Costa and Kara Poole from Longwood.
From Lake Mary Prep is Brienna Collings from Orange City.
And From Orangewood Christian is Lindsey Ferguson from Altamonte Springs.
