The festival is a juried art show, and has more than 200 artists in categories such as paintings, Graphics & Drawings, Photography, Sculpture, Glass, Pottery, Jewelry, Wood, Mixed media and Fine Crafts.
Elementary, Middle, and High Schools from Seminole County will be displaying more than 1,800 pieces of student artwork in a variety of mediums, according to organizers.
The Kid’s Activity area includes sand art, pony rides, face painting, rock climbing Wall, and Little Red Fire Engine ride.
The Lake Mary – Heathrow Festival of the Arts is a 501(c)3 non profit organization which raises money through sponsorships and donations awarding college scholarships to local students desiring a higher education.
In total, the Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival of the Arts has invested more than $7.5 million in the community to educate, entertain and promote goodwill and support for the arts.
The festival has also contributed more than $990,000 to education.
This year the festival will host free concerts on the main stage including Cristian Valenzuela Saturday at 3 p.m., Kid Dutch and his Blusicians Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and Miss Jacqueline Jones Sunday at 3 p.m.
The events are free. On site parking is available for a $5 donation. Free parking with free shuttle service is available at the 701 building parking lot on International Parkway.
