The Lake Mary Prep softball team claimed its 10th victory of the season on Tuesday as the Griffins improved to 10-5 with an 11-1 triumph over Lighthouse Christian.

Laura Taricano had a big game at the plate, going two-for-three and blasting a home run, while Haylie Morales also had a nice game for the winner’s, going two-for-four and driving in two runs.

Orangewood Christian retained its standing atop the victory list in Seminole County softball, improving to 14-1 with a 13-0, five-inning laugher over Central Florida Christian Academy.

Lindsey Ferguson was the brightest of many stars for the Rams, going two-for-three with a triple and an RBI.

Lake Howell (6-5) got over the .500 mark with an impressive 2-0 shutout of Lake Brantley (9-5) in a Seminole Athletic Conference game Tuesday night.

The Patriots could do nothing with the offering of Silver Hawks hurler Shelby plank, who hurled the three-hit shutout.

Winter Springs ran its record to 11-4 by whipping Lyman (3-12), 12-1, in a Class 6A-District 3 game on Tuesday.

Freshman Mackenzie Johnson and sophomore Marrissa Blake both went two-for-three at the plate for the Bears.
