Police arrested a 23-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he shot into his ex-girlfriend’s car and threatened to kill her last week.

Gregory Eugene Taylor Jr. was charged with attempted murder and is currently being held in the Seminole County without bond.

Police said the ex-girlfriend was waved down by Taylor on Sept. 9 as she was driving. According to an arrest report, when she stopped, Taylor said to her, “I ain’t through with you yet. I’m going to kill you.”

The two had broken up about two months prior to the incident, police said.

The girl told police Taylor pulled out a gun and began shooting at her vehicle following the altercation. Police found three bullet holes in the car but luckily the girl was uninjured.

Taylor had only been released from prison in July after serving nearly six months for charges in Orange County for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

He also served two prison sentences before that for charges of aggravated battery with a weapon and burglary according to the Florida Department of Corrections.

Seminole County Court records show at least six arrests for Taylor since 2008 with charges including battery, possession of various drugs, conspiracy to intimidate a witness and driving without a valid license.
