MAGIC TRADE HOWARD

The Orlando Magic traded Dwight Howard and started anew on Friday.

The Magic completed a blockbuster, four-team trade on Friday when they dealt Howard and reserves Chris Duhon and Earl Clark to the Los Angeles Lakers and Jason Richardson to the Philadelphia 76ers.

In return, the Magic will receive Aaron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, Josh McRoberts, Christian Eyenga and rookie Moe Harkless, three protected first-round picks (from Denver or New York in 2014, Philadelphia in ‘15 and Los Angeles in ’17) and two second-round selections.

In other aspects of the multi-layered deal, center Andrew Bynum was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, while small forward Andre Iguodala will play for the Denver Nuggets.

NEW SMYRNA

Tonight (Saturday) marks the return of the Weekly Racing Series for the Super Late Models.

Just two weeks ago Orlando’s David Rogers led the opening 26 laps with Rich Clouser hot on his heels the entire way. Clouser worked lap after lap to take a shot at the lead and got it on lap 26, holding off the veteran to take the win. Join us this Saturday night to see if Clouser can do it again or if Rogers will get redemption.

The Sanford Auto Dealers Exchange – Super Stocks will also be in action after a controversial wreck two weeks ago knocked out Points Leader Bobby Holley and two-time feature winner Donny Funk with 10 laps to go after battling side-by-side for multiple laps inside the top five.

Rounding out the schedule for Saturday night will be the Modifieds, Mini-Stocks and the Strictly Stocks.

Pit Gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstands at 6 p.m.

Racing will begin at 7:30 p.m.

General Admission for others will be $12 for Adults; $10 for Seniors and Military; and FREE for Kids 11 & under.

The track is located at the corner of SR. 44 and CR 415, between New Smyrna, DeLand and Daytona.

For more information call the track office at 386-427-4129 or visit the website at www.newsmyrnaspeedway.org.

UCF FOOTBALL TICKETS

For as little as $140, UCF football fans can purchase season tickets to watch the Knights host their first SEC opponent and compete for one final Conference USA championship.

Fans who purchase season tickets this year will secure the best available seats – and lock in the same prices – for the 2013 season, when the Knights will move to the BIG EAST Conference and begin hosting marquee teams such as USF, Boise State, Louisville, Rutgers and Cincinnati.

Several season ticket and parking packages are available, and ticket prices are lower than they were last season for many sections. Flexible payment plans allow fans to spread the cost of their tickets over four interest-free installments.

For complete season-ticket details and a seating chart, call the UCF Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000 or visit http://UCFAthletics.com. Single-game ticket information will be available at a later date.

Fans who want to enjoy UCF football in the comfort and style of Bright House Networks Stadium’s club level should visit http://ucfgoldenknightsclub.com or call (407) 823-2205 for more information.

The Knights are slated to host FIU (Sept. 15) and Missouri (Sept. 29), along with East Carolina (Oct. 4), Southern Miss (Oct. 13), SMU (Nov. 3) and UAB (Nov. 24). The contest with Missouri marks the first time in school history UCF will host a school from the Southeastern Conference, as the Tigers will move from the Big 12 to the SEC this summer.

UCF asks all current season-ticket holders to renew by the April 30 deadline to retain their current seats, and they have the first right to request changes to their seat locations.
