It will be Race #7 in the Bright House Challenge Series tonight (Saturday) at New Smyrna Speedway.
The race is for the Super Late Models and the feature is 100 laps in length.
Also on the track will be the E-Modifieds, Super Stocks and Strictly Stocks.
Pit Gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstands at 6 p.m.
Racing will begin at 7:30 p.m.
General Admission for others will be $20 for Adults; $18 for Seniors and Military; and FREE for Kids 11 & under.
The track is located at the corner of SR. 44 and CR 415, between New Smyrna, DeLand and Daytona.

UCF FOOTBALL
It was a busy morning for the UCF football team Thursday. The Knights conducted their second practice of preseason camp, they received five votes in the USA Today Sports Preseason Coaches’ Poll and wide receiver/kick returning Quincy McDuffie was named to the Paul Hornung Award Watch List, which is handed out to the nation’s most versatile player.
UCF was one of three Conference USA schools earning votes in the preseason top 25, joining Houston and Southern Miss. The Black and Gold ranked 41st in votes, while it had two more votes than Florida International and Missouri. The Knights host FIU Sept. 15 as well as the Tigers Sept. 29, and they also welcome Southern Miss to town Oct. 13. On July 24, UCF was picked to win the C-USA East Division in a preseason poll conducted by the Houston Chronicle.
In 2010, UCF entered the top 25 for the first time in school history, and finished the season No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll and No. 21 in the Associated Press Poll.

FALL SOFTBALL
The City of Sanford Recreation Services Department is taking registrations for its upcoming Fall Adult Slowpitch Softball League through Thursday, August 3.
League play begins the week of August 27 and will consist of a 10-week regular season, followed by a one-night Postseason Tournament for the top 4 finishing teams in the regular season.
Because of the weather problems during the Spring Season, returning teams can register for $330 (includes ASA fee), while new teams can register for $370 (includes ASA fee).
Current league offerings are the Church League on Monday night, the Fun (Restaurant and Tavern) League on Wednesday night and the Competitive League on Thursday night. Expansion and new leagues are possible on other nights if there is enough interest.

Sanford junior golfers ages 11-to-18 are invited to compete in a pair of upcoming AJGT tournaments.
The AJGT Grand Bear Junior Classic in Saucier, Mississippi at the Grand Bear Country Club on the week of August 18 & 19.
The 2-day, 36-hole tournament is ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard and hosted by the Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour. Includes two days of green fees, tee gifts, and Trophies in four age divisions.

The Knights are slated to host FIU (Sept. 15) and Missouri (Sept. 29), along with East Carolina (Oct. 4), Southern Miss (Oct. 13), SMU (Nov. 3) and UAB (Nov. 24). The contest with Missouri marks the first time in school history UCF will host a school from the Southeastern Conference, as the Tigers will move from the Big 12 to the SEC this summer.
UCF asks all current season-ticket holders to renew by the April 30 deadline to retain their current seats, and they have the first right to request changes to their seat locations.
