Battery

• Police arrested a 44-year-old Sanford woman Sunday after they said she threw a picture frame at her brother, hitting him in the arm.

Judy Fort, of Pear Avenue, was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 49-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he tackled another man, causing him to hit his head.

David Alan Beauchesne, of S. Myrtle Avenue, was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Aggravated assault

• Police arrested a 27-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he threatened his family with a knife during an argument.

Bryan Michael Novak, of Sycamore Court, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Burglary

• Police arrested a 25-year-old DeLand man Thursday after they said he helped a woman steal a woman’s purse in the parking lot of Sam’s Club on Rinehart Road.

Police said the victim was loading groceries when a man approached her in a car asking for directions. When the man left, the victim said she noticed her purse missing from her vehicle. When police reviewed tape of the parking lot, they saw that the man had dropped off a woman nearby, who then took the purse while he was asking for directions. Police were able to identify the suspects by the vehicle, however the woman ran from police during a traffic stop. The victim’s purse was recovered in DeLand.

Reginald R. Hadley, of Euclid Drive, was charged with burglary of conveyance and larceny. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Larceny

• Police arrested a 44-year-old Sanford woman Sunday after they said she attempted to steal underwear and a Nintendo Wii controller from Walmart on S. Orlando Drive.

Sandra Ivette Morales Diaz, of Windridge Circle, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 38-year-old Sanford woman Sunday after they said she stole a firearm from a man she was eating lunch with.

Police said the man reported the gun missing after the woman left in the middle of lunch. Police were able to identify the woman and when they arrived at her house she said she traded the gun for crack cocaine. Police were able to find where the gun was located in a nearby home.

Susan Rebecca Shank, of Cypress Avenue, was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, larceny – grand theft of a firearm, and drug equipment possession. She was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 36-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he attempted to steal a nail gun from Lowes on S. Orlando Drive.

Donald Laurence Neulander, of S. Orlando Drive, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 35-year-old New Smyrna woman Sunday after they said she attempted to steal clothing and a pair of shoes from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Serena M. Gay, of S. Atlantic Avenue, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 38-year-old Deltona man Sunday after they said he attempted to steal men and women’s clothing from Walmart on S. Orlando Drive.

Police said when employees of the store attempted to stop the man he fled into the parking lot.

Randy Jay Kanipe, of a Greenbriar Street, was charged with larceny and resisting recovery of property. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 30-year-old Osteen woman Friday after they said she attempted to steal clothing and cosmetics from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Cindy Raquel Fuentes, of Lake Butler Avenue, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 19-year-old Sanford woman Friday after they said she attempted to steal hair products from Walmart on S. Orlando Drive.

Brianna Monisa Gordon, of Chase Avenue, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

DUI

• Police arrested a 27-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he was driving under the influence of alcohol and passed out in his car near Sanford Middle School.

Police said they found the man asleep behind the wheel of his running vehicle on a grassy spot by Sanford Middle School. Police said the man would not wake up and after being transported to the hospital the man claimed he was at his grandmother’s house. Police said they found synthetic marijuana on the man as well as marijuana.

Reginald Bernard Mitchell, of Willow Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Drug possession

• Police arrested a 48-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he was in possession of marijuana.

Police said they were on bicycle patrol near the bar The Barn on 13th Street when they smelled burnt marijuana in the area. When they approached a man in the parking lot, he admitted to smoking the marijuana and also having some in his car.

Richard Aaron Evans, of S. Palmetto Avenue, was charged with possession of marijuana under 20 grams and issued a notice to appear in court.

• Police arrested a 24-year-old Sanford man and 20-year-old Deltona man Friday after they said the two were in possession of various drugs in the Lake Jennie Apartments.

Police said they were patrolling and saw one of the men hold up a bag of marijuana in the parking lot to the apartment complex. When police approached, they said they also saw the other man try to throw a dew rag with several different types of prescription pills on the ground.

Jewon Christopher Gilley, of W. 3rd Street, was charged with possession of Hydrocodone with the intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia to transport drugs. Ulesey O’Neal Jr., of Vercelli Street, was charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia to transport drugs. Both were taken tot the Seminole County.

Open container

• Police arrested a 48-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he was in possession of an open container of alcohol in Magnolia Square.

When police caught the man he told them, “Come on man don’t do this it’s my birthday on Monday.”

Joseph Mark Degenhardt, homeless, was charged with possession of an open container of alcohol and taken to the Seminole County jail.
