Battery

• Police arrested a 32-year-old Sanford woman Sunday after they said she hit a man, unplugged his phone and took his television.

Police said the man claimed the woman broke into his room with a screwdriver then began causing a disturbance. Police said the woman hit the man on the wrist, then unplugged his phone so he could not call 911. When she left the residence, police said she took a television with her.

Summer Middleton, of Bristol Circle, was charged with domestic violence battery and obstructing justice. She was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 37-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he hit and pulled his girlfriend’s hair.

Richard Charles Defazio, of Edgewater Circle, was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 25-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he hit his girlfriend inside their residence.

Police said the man attempted to escape from the home, but they were able to catch him. The man told police, “I’m just drunk I know I shouldn’t have hit her.”

Roscoe Brockington III, of Bob Thomas Circle, was charged with domestic violence battery and resisting an officer without violence. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 44-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he hit and choked his girlfriend.

Martin Donald Willett, of W. 19th Street, was charged with battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 50-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he hit and choked his girlfriend.

William M. Barnes, of W. 25th Street, was charged with battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Solicitation

• Police arrested a 27-year-old Sanford woman Friday after they said she was soliciting near an alleyway on Oak Avenue.

Police said a resident in the area noticed a car parked in the alley and caught the woman performing oral sex on the driver of the vehicle. Police said the driver stated the woman asked him for a ride then offered oral sex for $15. The woman claimed she had only asked for a ride.

Laketa L. Harris, homeless, was charged with soliciting another for lewdness and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Aggravated assault

• Police arrested a 42-year-old Sanford man Tuesday after they said he pointed a gun at a woman while trying to get his belongs back from her, then stole a car.

Police said the woman met the man at a store on Celery Avenue to return his belongings and the two began to argue. Police said the man then pulled out a gun, cocked it and pointed it at the woman, however she was able to escape. Police said the man then stole a vehicle from the store and crashed it. Police were able to locate the man in a nearby wooded area.

Kenneth Lamar Mills, homeless, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and grand theft of a vehicle and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Resisting an officer

• Police arrested a 50-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he attempted to run from police after they caught him loitering at an abandoned property.

Police said they stopped the man at a vacant property on S. Sanford Avenue and while they were trying to run his information he fled the area, forcing police to tase him to stop him. Police said during a search they found a glass pipe on his person.

Gregory Dwight Johnson, homeless, was charged with resisting an officer with violence and possession of drug equipment. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.
