The Musical Ministry of Markham Woods Presbyterian Church will play host on Thursday, May 31 at 7 p.m. to the Youth Choir from First United Methodist Church of Cookeville, Tenn.
This group of 35 singers is under the direction of Kathy Evans, former associate director of Music Ministries at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church.
The choir is on an annual tour of the southeast and will perform the beloved musical, “Godspell.”
There will be no charge for the performance and it is open to the public. Markham Woods Presbyterian Church is at 5210 Markham Woods Road, Lake Mary.
Renaming ceremony
The City of Sanford will hold a dedication ceremony Thursday, May 31 to rename a portion of 13th Street to Historic Goldsboro Boulevard.
The name change will take effect June 1, with the ceremony being held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Goldsboro Westside Historical Museum at 1211 W. 13th St.
