George Zimmerman’s attorney filed a motion today to allow Zimmerman’s family members to speak during his bond hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday morning.

The Zimmerman family will testify during the hearing by telephone.

Zimmerman is currently being held in the Seminole County jail on charges of 2nd-degree murder for the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. He has been held in isolation in the jail for a little more than a week.

His bond hearing will be held before the new judge in the case, Judge Kenneth Lester, who was assigned after Judge Jessica Recksiedler announced yesterday she would step down due to a conflict of interest.

Recksiedler’s husband works for the law firm of Mark NeJame – an attorney who spoke with the Zimmerman family in the past and also agreed to be a media analyst on the case for CNN.

If Zimmerman is granted bond during the Friday hearing, he could be out of jail as early as Friday afternoon.
