Last year I went to see the play, “Touch and Go.”

I was so impressed that I offered to help in some way this year – with art work, tickets or whatever.

Whatever turned out to be two parts in the play. I learned so much that I did not absorb last year.

What a story! Not only did I learn history – how celery came to Sanford, Baggs worm farm (hilarious), Naval Air Station (touching), when Sanford burned down (surprising), to Uncle Dieters trained pet rooster (we still have his great-grandson, Hancock).

This is just some of the story. There is a very strong and moving message that everyone needs to see. I won’t tell you because everyone needs to hear for themselves.

We have just finished two weeks with two more to go, plus the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I have witnessed people from Orlando, Apopka, DeLand and Winter Park attending, but very few of what I would call local Sanford residents.

Sanford, you are missing out. I promise you will be glad you went. It is one of the most moving and important events I have seen here.

Sanford is a wonderful place to live. Come celebrate with us.
