CTeen is the fastest growing Jewish teen network in the world today with chapters in over 50 cities around the world. And starting for the 2011-12 school year, it will have a chapter in Lake Mary.
CTeen harnesses the incredible potential of teenagers with programs that bring teens together to give back to their communities and the environment. CTeen events – including community service activities, debate sessions, trips and Shabbatons on a local and national scale – are a great opportunity to have fun with friends and have a Jewish educational experience, while feeling good about making the world a better place.
“Cteen is built on the belief in the power of youth and aims to transform the teen years into a time of purpose and self-discovery,” said Rabbi Yanky Majesky.
“It’s also about encouraging these young people to take a leadership role in bettering the world around them. We offer volunteer opportunities, times to give back, educational events and plenty of fun times,” adds Rabbi Ed Leibowitz.
The kickoff BBQ will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the home of Rabbi Yanky and Chanshy Majesky. CTeens is for teens ages 13 and 14 and will be directed by the Majeskys as well as Rabbi Ed Leibowitz.
