Theme, “Divine Wonder Developed From Dedicated Wrestling.” Scripture, Genesis 22:38.
On Sunday morning July 10, the guest worship speaker was the Reverend Johnnie Sanders of Pastor Scott’s hometown church, Pine Level Baptist Church, Greenville, Ala. Music was presented by the Voices of Unity. Minister Sergio Bryant presided over the morning and afternoon services.
The highlight of the 4 p.m. Celebration was the surprise of the afternoon, the arrival of a chartered bus with Pastor Ricky Scott and members of New Hope Baptist Church, Fort Lauderdale. This indeed was a great surprise for Pastor Marvin Scott.
The Voices of Unity opened the service with the selection “We’re Gonna Have a Good Time.” Indeed, the spirit of the Lord was in the house as music was rendered by the New Hope Baptist Church choir as they thrilled the congregation’s heart with the selections “Lean on Me” and “How Precious is the Name of Jesus.” The Second Shiloh Praise Dancers, DDOP, continued to spiritually fill the congregation’s heart as Sister Annette McKinnon welcomed the guest.
Sister Dietra Scott, introduced the speaker of the the evening, Reverend Ricky Scott, Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church. Pastor Ricky gave the word from the theme, “He’s Going to Love You Anyway” taken from Numbers 14:2-20. These words will remain in the hearts of the congregation forever.
The upcoming events for the closing of the Pastor and First Family’s Anniversary will be at the First Family’s Banquet at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the Sanford Garden Club. Tickets are needed to attend.
The Sunday morning worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m.; message by Lantz Mills. At 4 p.m. the Anniversary Service will be led by Reverend Doctor Larry G. Mills of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Orlando.
