Anthony James Alloway, 54, of Sanford, passed away March 10, 2012 at his residence.

He was born August 5, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of New Bethel Missionary Church, Sanford. He was also educated in the Seminole County Public School System. He worked as an optic engineer for Mastec Company for 15 years. He was a lifelong resident of Sanford.

He is survived by his children, Antonio Smith, Nadra Davis, Anthony James Alloway, Jr., and Roderick Davis; 6 grandchildren; mother, Margaree Alloway; brother, Clemmie C. Alloway, Jr.; sisters, Diane Gilchrist, Benita Davis (William R.) and Linda Brown; and a host of aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 618 East 10th Street, Sanford with Reverend William F. Lewis, officiating. Visitation on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, Sanford.
