LILLIAN E. BOWSER

Lillian E. Bowser, 81, of Sanford, passed away June 25, 2010.

She was born in Natrona Heights, Pa. and lived in Sanford for 11 years. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, William L. Troutman of Sanford; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wilson-Eichelberger Mortuary, Sanford, is in charge of all arrangements.

WILLIAM BENJAMIN HENDRICKS, JR

William Benjamin Hendricks, Jr., 47, of Cypress Inn, Tenn., passed away June 17, 2010 at his home.

He was born in Sanford and was a member of the Palmetto Avenue Baptist Church in Sanford. He was an Eagle Scout and served as cub master with Pack 508 in Sanford. He relocated to Cypress Inn, Tenn. in October 2006 and was employed at Dollar General. Before coming to Tennessee, he served in the U.S. Navy and was store manager for 7-11 stores in Seminole County for 16 years.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Hendricks; niece, Autumn Hendricks; nephews, Fred Hendricks, Jr., James (Deborah) Slaughter, all of Cypress Inn, Tenn.; brothers, John (Rita) Hendricks of DeBary, Jason Hendricks of Monticello, Carson Hendricks of Cross City; sisters, Paula (Mike) Penna of Polk City, Leigh Ann Dudley of Casselberry, and Pamela (Chryst) Doney of Sanford; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William B. Hendricks, Sr.; brothers Paul Hendricks and Fredrick (Tom) Hendricks.

A memorial service was held June 26 at the Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tenn.

PINKEY M. MARTIN

Pinkey M. Martin, 50, of Sanford, passed away July 4, 2010 in Sanford.

She was a native of Orlando and longtime resident of Sanford. She was also a member of the St. James AME Church in Sanford.

She is survived by her sons, Edward C. Howard, Jr. and Jaquan Jones, both of Sanford; siblings, Malone Stewart of Orlando, Izel Martin of Sanford, Mary Seymore of Orlando, Claritha Martin, Marcia Martin and Teresa Baker, all of Sanford.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. James AME Church.

Gail & Wynn’s Mortuary, Orlando, is in charge of all arrangements.

CARL F. PILCHER

Carl F. Pilcher, 71, of DeBary, passed away July 6, 2010 in Sanford.

He was born February 26, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio and worked as a fireman. He was also a member of the Palmetto Avenue Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Pilcher of DeBary; sister, Jane Lear of Bullhead City, Neb.; brother, Terry Lee (Linda) Pilcher of Wayneville, Ohio; daughter, Karen Day of Savannah, Ga.; sons, Samuel Lewis (Lori) Pilcher of DeBary, Matthew Carl Pilcher of San Antonio and Franklin Maxwell (Heather) Pilcher of Orlando; and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Palmetto Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Williams officiating.

Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Oaklawn Chapel, is in charge of all arrangements.
