Christianity really needs to be open to the realities of life. Believe in God, Have Faith, Trust in Him, Pray..... All these things are fine and dandy and may be good to live by, but apply what you are teaching to the reality that is the life around you. If someone is need, heartbroken, in pain or suffering in any kind of way... Stop telling them to Pray and believe! Words have no meaning during the times of greatest pain and suffering. The only thing that will mean anything at that time is action. So often people suffer in silence because they just don't want to hear to be strong, to pray, that God will provide. It's like I said before and I will always keep saying it.... The hand of God is NOT coming down from the heavens and handing anyone what they need. As Christians it is YOUR job to act on God's behalf. The key word here is- ACT! I already know that being a Christian does not make you perfect, it just allows you to be forgiven in Christ. But how are you really proving your worth for the Kingdom of Heaven? What ACTIONS are you taking to do the work that God wants you to do? If all you do is preach His word and try to teach about His love but you do not act upon what you are preaching... How are you being a true Christian?

I have always been very blunt and won't hold my tongue to the truth. Many will hate what I am saying and I'm sure I will get yet another biblical translation on what I should do or believe in Christ. At least I CAN say that when someone is in need and I have it to give or I am able to do something to help... I ACT! I don't just tell them what they need to hear, I show them through my actions that I love them and care about what is happening. I already know for a fact that words mean nothing at all without action. When someone is hurting or suffering in any way they need that physical contact. They need you to be there physically in some way. Sometimes all they need is to be held in order to feel that you care. Love doesn't cost a dime.

I find it humorous that when I post messages like this most of the Pastor's, Preachers, ministers, etc. keep silent on the topic itself... but yet continue to preach the word of God knowing they are not doing anything to physically help someone in need. They just remain silent when they are confronted with a truth they would rather be blind to. No one likes to hear the truth about themselves. That's understandably human. So many of these Pastor's, preachers, ministers, etc. are living very comfortably, in amazing homes and I am sure they will say they have been blessed. I agree... They have been blessed by the generosity of their church members... many who may have even given their last for tithing and then go home hungry to a home with no heat and barely a roof overhead. How many of these preachers willing to take into their homes a family living in poverty or homeless? How can you preach about something you are not willing to be a role model in? I wish I had a nice home to live in instead of this closet of a home. But at least I do have a home and even though I have no room here I have allowed people in need to stay here until family took them in or their lights were turned back on. I have used the last of my money to buy food for a family that had nothing to eat. I HAVE done what God would want me to do for others in need. I have done without to help someone else.... but then again, I'm not a preacher and I live the realities of life everyday and understand only too well what it is like to be in these situations. So if I question those who are suppose to be doing the work of Christ and are getting paid for it... I have every right to! Do I sound angry? Maybe, but it is more out of frustration from the lack of action that comes from those that are Blessed enough to help others and they don't. Giving of your time does not cost anything. There is no excuse for lack of action.
