Battery

• Police arrested a 23-year-old man Monday after they said he grabbed a woman by the throat.

Jose Roberto Jiminez-Rivera was charged with domestic violence battery by strangulation and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 32-year-old Sanford man Tuesday after they said he hit a woman in the nose with a closed fist while she was holding her child.

David Earl Davis Jr. was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 21-year-old Sanford man Tuesday after they said he punched his father during an argument outside of their home.

Police said the man admitted to fighting with the father, but said the father had hit him first.

Kelvin Enoc Miranda Espinoza, of Carriage Cove Way, was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 28-year-old man Tuesday after they said he punched a woman.

Police said the man also stopped the woman from calling 911 by taking her phone. When she attempted to leave, police said, the man locked her in a closet.

Daniel Wesley Ammon was charged with domestic violence battery, false imprisonment and obstructing justice. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 24-year-old Osteen man Thursday after they said he punched another man and knocked him to the ground.

Kevin Michael McGough, of Cracker Avenue, was charged with battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 35-year-old Orlando man Thursday after they said he slapped a woman in the face and then would not comply with officers’ commands.

Leanthony Kit West, of LB McLeod Road, was charged with battery and resisting an officer without violence. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

DUI

• Police arrested a 66-year-old Winter Springs man Thursday after they said he was driving while under the influence of alcohol on U.S. 17-92.

Police said it was the man’s 2nd offense and he would not submit to any type of testing.

Roosevelt Davis Jr., of Bombay Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusing to submit to a DUI test. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Fraud

• Police arrested a 23-year-old Sanford man Sept. 18 after they said he activated a phone under a false account and attempted to sell the phone on Craigslist.

Police said the man was working at the T-Celluar and video evidence as well as witness statements pointed to the man activating the false account and trying to sell the phone.

Julienn M. Mercado, of Old England Loop, was charged with fraud and dealing in stolen property. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Misuse of 911

• Police arrested a 24-year-old Sanford woman Tuesday after they said she called 911 eight times in one night to ask for rides and report her boyfriend and the police.

Police said the woman first called because she said her boyfriend was at her home and he was court ordered not to be. The woman was taken to a domestic violence shelter, however she left and went to a bar and called 911 to get a ride to her home. When police offered a ride back to the domestic violence shelter the woman continued to call 911 from the back of the police car and stated her boyfriend was a drug dealer and he “pays off the police to harass her.”

Danielle Edwards, of Cypress Avenue, was charged with misuse of 911 system and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Drug possession

• Police arrested a 27-year-old Sanford man Wednesday after they said he was in possession of marijuana.

Police said the man was involved in a traffic accident at 7th Street and Cypress Avenue and when they ran his name they realized he had two active warrants in Seminole County. A search of the man showed he had a small bag of marijuana on his person.

Termaine Jamal Holden, of Summerlin Avenue, was charged with possession of marijuana under 20 grams and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 57-year-old Sanford man Thursday after they said he was in possession of cocaine.

Police said they stopped the man on 11th Street because he had an expired tag and pulled into a vacant home, which was next to another. When police made contact with the man they said he stated he was going to a “friend’s” house. Police said they found a bag of tools in the man’s vehicle along with cocaine. The man was within 1,000 of a public housing complex, police said.

Richard Delon Mathis, of W. 11th Street, was charged with possession of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a public housing complex, loitering and driving with an expired license. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Larceny

• Police arrested a 21-year-old Altamonte Springs woman Wednesday after they said she attempted to steal four drinks from 7-Eleven on S. Orlando Drive.

Alexandra Felicia Comeau, of Loraine Drive, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 51-year-old Sanford man Wednesday after they said he attempted to steal a package of chicken thighs from the Winn-Dixie on French Avenue.

Police said during an argument with an employee the man also damaged a package of pork chops.

Karl Anthionio Lawrence, of S. Sanford Avenue, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 21-year-old Sanford woman Wednesday after they said she attempted to steal game controllers from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Jennifer Loraine Plaza-Rivera, of W. Airport Boulevard, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 48-year-old man Wednesday after they said he stole a Muscular Dystrophy Association donation jar from the counter of 7-Eleven at 100 N. French Ave.

Gregory Smith, of W. 1st Street, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Loitering

• Police arrested two Sanford men Tuesday after they said they were looking into cars in the Placid Lakes neighborhood and would not comply with officers’ requests.

Police said a resident of the neighborhood reported the men as suspicious because they were walking around looking into cars. When police arrived two of the men would not stay seated as police conducted an investigation.

Giovannie Febo, 20, of Willner Circle, and James E. Sullivan, 22, of Placid Woods Court, were both charged with resisting an officer and loitering. They were taken to the Seminole County jail.

Incidents

• Police said they responded to the 100 block of Scott Avenue Tuesday after several neighbors report shots being fired.

Police said they found a shell casing in front of one of the homes on Scott Avenue and a bullet also entered the window of a home on the street. A witness told police after he heard the shots fired he saw approximately 20 males running past his window. No one was injured in the incident.

• Police said they responded to 26th Street and Park Avenue Tuesday after a man reported another man stuck a gun in his face.

Police said the victim was speaking to a family member in the area when a male approached him and stuck a gun in his face. The victim told police he fled from the area immediately.
