Shooting

• Police arrested a 23-year-old Sanford man Monday after they said he shot into a residence on Key Avenue.

Police said the man told them he was trying to shoot at someone who was in his shed in his backyard. However, the shot ended up hitting a home opposite of his where two people were inside. No one was injured.

Roaman Simeon Mohammed, of Summerlin Avenue, was charged with firing a weapon into a dwelling and discharging a firearm in public. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Aggravated battery

• Police arrested a 28-year-old man Monday after they said he slammed a woman’s head into a sink causing her nose to break.

Donald Draper was charged with domestic violence aggravated battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Battery

• Police arrested a 31-year-old Sanford man Monday after they said he pushed a woman and caused a laceration on her arm.

Jon Daniel Coulter was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 31-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he grabbed a woman and pushed her into a refrigerator.

Nathaniel Grant was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested two Sanford men Monday after they said one hit a woman and then the two got into a fight with each other.

Elvin Nieves, 68, was charged with battery and Luis Orlando Torres Morales, 31, was charged with domestic violence battery. Both were taken to the Seminole County jail.

Hit-and-run

• Police arrested a 25-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he hit another person’s car at 25th Street and Airport Boulevard and left the scene of the accident.

Police said they were able to stop the man near the crash as he was driving with a flat tire. When police spoke to the man they said he appeared to be drunk and did not have a valid license. When police arrested the man they said he resisted police.

Abel Romeo Perezdomingo, of Old England Loop, was charged with hit-and-run, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting an officer without violence. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 44-year-old Lake Mary man Sunday after they said he hit a woman’s car in the parking lot of McDonalds.

Police said the man pulled up behind the woman and honked his horn several times. Police said the man yelled out the window of his vehicle, “Do you want me to hit your car?” Afterwards they said the man drove his truck into the woman’s car and left the scene.

Carl Alan Stevens was charged with hit-and-run and property damage. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 20-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he backed into a man’s car in a parking lot on W. 25th Street.

Police said the man left the scene of the crash but later returned. Police also said a check of the man in the computer system showed he did not have a valid license.

Jorge Abelardo Mendez Bamaca, of W. 25th Street, was charged with hit-and-run and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Suspended license

• Police arrested a 51-year-old Orange City man Friday after they said he was driving with a suspended license.

Police said they pulled the man over because he was driving recklessly on 15th Street. During the traffic stop police said the man admitted he had a suspended license.

Keith Kelly Pinner, of Brooklyn Avenue, was charged with driving with a suspended license and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 22-year-old Sanford man Friday after they said he was driving with a suspended license and did not have his scooter properly registered.

Police said they pulled the man over because he did not have a tag for the scooter and was not wearing any eye protection. The man admitted his license may be suspended and he had not registered the scooter.

James Daniel Faulkner, of E. 26th Street, was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to register a motor vehicle. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Obstructing justice

• Police arrested a 23-year-old Sanford man Friday after they said he swallowed drugs in front of police and attempted to flee from the scene.

Police said they were conducting a foot-patrol on Historic Goldsboro Boulevard when they noticed a vehicle filled with smoke, which they suspected to be from marijuana. When police approached the vehicle, they said the man swallowed a marijuana cigar and after they attempted to talk to the man he ran off on foot. Police said they also found an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

Sadarius Vontreal Cosby, of W. 5th Street, was charged with obstructing justice, resisting an officer without violence and possession of an open container of alcohol. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Larceny

• Police arrested an 18-year-old Sanford man Oct. 2 after they said he attempted to steal a hair iron and a cellular phone from Walmart on S. Orlando Drive.

Carlos J. Sanchez, of Tinley Terrace, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 51-year-old Deltona woman Sunday after they said she attempted to steal flea and tick medication from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Laura J. Moschella, of Chippendale Street, was charged with larceny. She was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 22-year-old Deltona man Thursday after they said he attempted to steal DVDs and BlueRay disks worth $831 from Super Target on WP Ball Boulevard.

Police said the man had previously stolen Bluleray disks from the store.

Harif Javier Jimenez, of Roble Lane, was charged with two counts of larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a Sanford man and an Orange City man Monday after they said the two attempted to steal a fuel line kit and wheel bearing kit from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Michael Shawn Jones, 31, of S. Page Drive, and James Michael McCall Jr., 31, of Graves Avenue, were charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Trespassing

• Police arrested a 51-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he was trespassing at the Post Office on E. 1st Street.

Daniel Scott Barnes was charged with trespassing and taken to the Seminole County jail.
