Battery

• Police arrested a 60-year-old Deltona man Sunday after they said he grabbed a woman by her hair and shook her.

Police said a witness noticed the woman attempting to get out of a vehicle the man was driving. The witness told police they watched as the man pulled the woman back into the vehicle by her hair. The woman also asked the witness for help.

Marion Daly, of Kraft Drive, was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 31-year-old man Friday after they said he bit a woman and choked her after she picked him up from a bar.

Edward Clint Gilstrap was charged with battery by strangulation and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 60-year-old Sanford man Friday after they said he slapped a woman in the face on Country Club Circle.

Robert Lloyd Washburn, homeless, was charged with battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 26-year-old man Monday after they said he punched a woman several times in the face.

Dontay D. Brown was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 25-year-old man Saturday after they said he poked a woman in the eye during an argument.

Melvin Degean Wiley was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Aggravated assault

• Police arrested a 25-year-old Christmas man Aug. 11 after they said he hit another vehicle repeatedly in the McDonalds drive through line and attempted to flee the scene.

The victim told police he was waiting in his vehicle in the drive through line when the car behind him began to ram him repeatedly for no reason. Police found the suspect’s car on nearby railroad tracks, after it had hit a fence. Police said they also learned the man driving had a suspended license and they found marijuana in his vehicle.

Ryan Neil Witt, of Brown Road, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Robbery

• Police arrested a 20-year-old Sanford man Aug. 6 after they said he robbed a Kangeroo Express on S. French Avenue with a firearm.

Police said the man escaped the scene but they were able to find him later on Maple Avenue, where a store clerk had said the man fled. Police said they used a K-9 unit to stop the man, however the man punched the K-9 in the snout. The store clerk was able to positively identify the man.

Quayshaun Postell, of Roosevelt Avenue, was charged with robbery with a firearm, causing harm to a police animal and resisting an officer with violence. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Burglary

• Police arrested a 26-year-old Casselberry man Wednesday after they said he went to a woman’s home who had filed an injunction against him.

Police said the man entered her home without permission and then took her cell phone.

Isaac Nathaniel Spaulding, of Seminola Boulevard, was charged with violation of an injunction, burglary, and larceny. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

Larceny

• Police arrested a 20-year-old Casselberry woman last Monday after they said she attempted to steal a package of glitter and two cell phones from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Stephanie Cheree Priest, of Suncrest Loop, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 22-year-old Tampa woman Saturday after they said she attempted to steal two pairs of earrings from Macy’s in the Seminole Towne Center mall.

Tania Leon Bermudez, of Palm trace Drive, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 23-year-old Sanford man Monday after they said he attempted to steal a pair of shorts from Macy’s in the Seminole Towne Center mall.

Police said the man attempted to flee when an employee of the store tried to make contact with him.

Dustin Zachary Maraugha, of Magnolia Park Trail, was charged with larceny and resisting recovery of property. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 24-year-old Deltona woman Monday after they said she attempted to steal almost $100 of merchandise from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Jillian M. Petrotto, of Trade Street, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Resisting an officer

• Police arrested a 19-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he tried to run away from police during a traffic stop.

Police said they attempted to stop the man’s vehicle near W. 13th Street, however he jumped from the car, ran and hid in a vacant residence in the Cedar Creek Apartments.

Devon Jerell Jackson, of E. 7th Street, was charged with resisting an officer without violence and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Property damage

• Police arrested a 19-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he threw a brick at a vehicle on Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, causing damage to the hood of the car.

Devon Jerell Jackson, of E. 7th Street, was charged with property damage and throwing a weapon into a vehicle. He was taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 51-year-old Sanford man Thursday after they said he threw a brick through the window of a store on Park Avenue.

Police said the man had been in the store earlier harassing customers and the owner told him to leave. The owner told police the man returned later and threw a brick through the window.

Daniel S. Barnes, homeless, was charged with property damage and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 31-year-old Sanford man Monday after they said he slashed someone’s vehicle tires on Park Avenue.

Justin Ivan Nettles, of Summerlin Avenue, was charged with property damage and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Suspended license

• Police arrested a 33-year-old Sanford man Tuesday after they said he was driving with a suspended license on Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

Police said the man had just gone to the store to use the payphone to call his girlfriend.

Joshua Adam Ayers, of Coachman Court, was charged with driving with a suspended license and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Disorderly conduct

• Police arrested a 49-year-old Sanford man Friday after they said he was screaming racist remarks at 2nd Street and Magnolia Avenue.

Police said the man was intoxicated.

Daryk C. Erickson, homeless, was charged with disorderly intoxication and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Trespassing

• Police arrested a 45-year-old Sanford man Thursday after they said he was trespassing at the Sunoco on S. Orlando Drive.

Robert E. Lee, homeless, was charged with trespassing and taken to the Seminole County jail.
