Battery

• Police arrested a 52-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he punched a man twice after a fight over a can of beer.

Wilbert Hawkins, of Maple Avenue, was charged with battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 34-year-old man Friday after they said he pushed a woman during an argument over keys.

Mark A. Hendrickson was charged with domestic violence battery and taken to the Seminole County jail.

DUI

• Police arrested a 31-year-old Orange City man Saturday after they said he was asleep behind the wheel at 2nd Street and Palmetto Avenue while drunk.

Police said they found the man unresponsive behind the wheel of a running car. When police made contact with the man they said he was intoxicated.

Michael Richard Demeter, of Raintree Drive, was charged with driving under the Influence of alcohol and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Larceny

• Police arrested a 19-year-old Bartow man Friday after they said he attempted to steal several shirts and a hat from Macy’s in the Seminole Towne Center mall.

Javonte Terelle Pittman, of Morris Drive, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 22-year-old Sanford woman and a 20-year-old Orlando man Friday after the two attempted to steal headsets and cables from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Tyesha L. Ellis, of Granby Street, and Tyrome A. Pasley, of Lawrence Street, were charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 41-year-old Sanford woman Saturday after they said she attempted to steal beer from the Poplar Market on Poplar Avenue.

Octavia Artis Walker, of Cedar Creek Circle, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 24-year-old Sanford man and a 25-year-old Sanford woman Saturday after they said the two attempted to steal various toys from Toys’R’Us on Towne Center Boulevard.

Casey Michael Mangrum, of Rachelle Avenue, and Stephanie Nicole Pafford, of Winding Ridge Drive, were charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 34-year-old Edgewater woman Saturday after they said she attempted to steal more than $300 in video games from Walmart on Rinehart Road.

Sunshine Leshelle Nugraha, of Willow Oak Drive, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 19-year-old Sanford woman Saturday after they said she stole 52 pieces of scaffolding cross bars and rod iron from a home on S. Magnolia Avenue.

Police said they were able to catch the woman after a the victim noticed a piece of the rod iron in another woman’s car. That woman informed police she had purchased it from a woman headed to scrap a pile of metal.

Harlianne Chesity White, of E. 17th Street, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 48-year-old Sanford man Sunday after they said he attempted to steal a drill and two batteries by concealing them in the front of his pants.

Howard Warren Robinson, of Dixie Way, was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 40-year-old man Sunday after they said he attempted to steal two DVD players and a MP3 player from Walmart on S. Orlando Drive.

Police said the man had stolen from the store before but always carried a bat with him, so employees were afraid to approach him. Employees told police he had been trespassed from the store, but continued to steal while carrying the bat and even waved to employees as he walked out of the store. Police caught him nearby and found the stolen merchandise in his backpack.

Josue Perez, homeless, was charged with trespassing and larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 54-year-old Sanford man Aug. 3 after they said he stole a refrigerator with $3,500 worth of fertility medication inside from a home on S. Laurel Avenue.

Edwin Otis Bryant was charged with larceny and taken to the Seminole County jail.

Open container

• Police arrested a 55-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he was in possession of an open container of alcohol near Walmart on S. Orlando Drive.

Police said the man had hit an employee of the store, however the employee did not want to press charges. When police found the man he was drinking from a mini-liquor bottle.

Miguel Angel Rosado Jimenez, of S. Orlando Drive, was charged with possession of an open container of alcohol and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 49-year-old Sanford man Saturday after they said he was in possession of an open container of alcohol at 24th Street and Palmetto Avenue.

Police said a woman reported the man after she saw him walking down the street with a knife.

Tyrone Candis, homeless, was charged with possession of an open container of alcohol and taken to the Seminole County jail.

• Police arrested a 59-year-old Sanford man Monday after they said he was in possession of an open container of alcohol at a bus stop at 27th Street and U.S. 17-92.

Dwight D. Long, homeless, was charged with possession of an open container of alcohol and taken to the Seminole County jail.
