SANFORD – Santa Claus will be appearing Saturday December 8 at Gators Riverside Grille from 2 to 6 p.m.

Santa will be giving out toys, taking Polaroid photos and listening to youngster’s Christmas wish lists. The jolly one will revisit the restaurant on the St. Johns River on Saturday Dec. 15 and Saturday Dec. 22.

Located at 4255 Peninsula Point, just off State Road 415 before you cross the bridge that takes you into Volusia County, Gators Riverside Grille is now owned by Ed Winters.

Winter, who bought the place three months ago, recommends that grown-ups try one of the house specialties: “We have an awesome jalapeno popper we make ourselves that’s the size of an egg roll,” he said, noting that you can then cool your taste buds with a $2 bottle of beer.
